For me Fashion isn't just a bunch of pretty dresses.
It is history, art, culture and a way to express your true self or as Miuccia Prada would say "instant language". Using this principle, Prada, Tiffany&Co and Brooks Brothers take us back to the 20's by designing  the clothes and accessories from one of the most anticipated movies of the year: The Great Gatsby


 F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of the novel described a decadent American society located in Long Island, full of luxury, parties and jewels.


Inspired by the signature files, bracelets, rings, necklaces and headdresses of diamonds, gold, silver and pearls were created.

Dressing up for a brunch, cocktail or any other event is one of the things I like the most. Choosing my clothes and accesories is always real fun, but no great outfit is complet without a scent.

Just think about it...
Women who were recognized for their impecable style have made some fragrances iconic, like Marilyn Monroe did with Chanel No. 5 or Audrey Hepburn with Acqua di Parma.
To complement a neat outfit full of class, style, elegance and great personality the seal has to be a perfume that represents your true self.

Saks Mexico and Hermès invited us to a brunch where the new fragrance from the French maison called Jour d'Hermès was presented.
Among delicious maccarons and mimosas, we were able to try and smell this sublime fragrance created from fresh white flowers with the concept of light, by Jean-Claude Ellena,  Hermès exclusive perfumist.

This eau de parfum fresh for spring / summer, is very different from what the house had done so far. It has no hints of leather and the bottle created by the artisans of Hermès, celebrates life and embraces the power of the sun god Hermès by letting light in and proudly displaying the maisons symbol at the golden bottle lid.


Something new the maison offeres with this fragrance, it's the refill which can be acquire in stores as well as the creams to complement which complement the experience of Jour d'Hermès.
I definitely loved this perfume for its subtle scent that makes it perfect for day and night as it also complements the personality of a strong confident woman with a sweet yet strong bouquet.
Hermès is a brand distinguished by their craftsmen work quality with the most luxurious materials, like silk for the handpainted scarves and different skins for their bags.
This fragrance is immaculate and flawless just as we could expect it to be!

The appointment was at 9am in the beautiful W Hotel in Mexico
City. With a delicious breakfast  followed by great opening speeches the highly anticipated premiere of the third season from Elle México Diseña  "Haute Couture en Blanc "  began.

Rossana Fuentes, editorial vice president from "Grupo expansion" gave the opening speech saying like Obama that "This is the year of México", not only in the political and economic scope but also in fashion, because there are lots of undiscovered talented designers in this country.

Afterwards went up to the podium the representative of E! entertainment television, tv chain responsible for transmitting the show.
He said that this platform has reached a level that could compete with international programs, which is something to be proud of.

Last but not least was Sara Galindo´s turn to take the microphone.
Elle magazine's fashion editor spoke about the growth this platform has seen through it´s seven editions. (We talk about the third season, because the last 3 editions have been transmitted on television) She also said there are always important characters to array the jury like Peter Somm, one of Michelle Obama's favourite designers, who will be guest judge at this years finale which will take place on June 15 in Acapulco and will be seen the 18 of July.
Episodes will be transmitted every thursday biweekly, but will repeat everyday until the next one is broadcast.
The first four chapters will show all the selection process around México, the fifth will be about the semifinal where Beatriz Calles, coordinator from México's fashion week was invited to deliberate upon the designs and the sixth and last episode is where the winner will be chosen from between 14 finalists.

What are the prizes?
The winners will get the best prizes in universe.
The first place will of course  have his dress features on the cover of Elle México he will also get an internship in the design department of Massimo Dutti where he'll help to create the new collection and last, an all expenses paid trip to an exotic location to look for inspiration.
The second place will get a scholarship from Marangoni with accommodation and airfare included to study at this prestigious school in Milan or Paris.
The third place will get a scholarship from The Institute di Moda Burgo and will be able to study in Milan or Mexico.
All three will have the opportunity to perform at the Mercedes Benz FashionWeek México.

As you can see it isn't only a very good program, but it also helps Mexican talent to excel in the industry.
Elle Mexico is doing an excellent job and we shoul now support it.

Which word can make all women cry?
Yes, cellulite.
The famous "orange peel" affects 90% of women all around the globe and is considered the #1 beauty problem.
But, why do I tell you this? Easy, because summer is about to start and we all want to look beautiful as well as our legs in any swimsuit, skirt or shorts.
That's why I've prepared some tips to get rid of it.



I would recomend you to buy an anti-cellulite cream.
Normally I wouldn't ask you to buy anything but for better and faster results it is neccesary.
My favourite one is Elancyl. I've tryed it and it has very good results, but the cream by itself isn't magic. You need to ease its job by not eating to many fats and doing exercise.
Drink tons of water, minimum 2 liters, try to stop drinking coffe, sodas and canned juices which contain sugar and caffein that makes your blood and lymph circulate slowly and also need massage your legs so that nothing stucks there.

Excercise is very important too so go out for a run or take a spin in your bycicle for 45min every day and I assure you, that you will be rocking your legs this July.
