Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Day 3
This fashion week has been my favorite.
The best was, that I met amazing people and interviewed an incredible designer, whose collection I loved.
The collections were fantastic, very loose clothing, with transparencies, ruffles and inspirations ranging from Asia to classical music, which were reflected on the catwalks.
I arrived more or less at 4pm, so that I was able to see the presentation of the Colombian jewelry designer Sonia Heilbron, in which very elegant, modern and sophisticated pieces were presented.
Then was the time for the Lydia Lavin show inspired by the symbolism of the magical town of Cuetzalan, located in the Sierra de Puebla. Lydia Lavin and Montserrat Messeguer favorably surprised attendees of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico with a collection titled 'Cosmogony'.
Casual clothes and cocktail dresses with reminiscent silhouettes of the 70s in colors like red, fuchsia, yellow, purple, royal blue and lime green , combined with the inevitable black&white, all this in materials such as linen, lace and silk taffeta converted, organza and shantung with traditional embroidery from Cuetzalan, were shown by the duo.
As for jewellery, silver shone in medallion forms, with a mix of feathers, beads and macramé weaving.
After this show, I had a little time to relax and try to re-energize with a delicious fruit punch Vitamin Water in the American Express Lounge, as time went on to enter the Julia & Renata show.
Everyone wanted to see Julia & Renata, they managed a very pure idea.
Simple hairstyles, a great touch with animal print shoes and dresses as long as robes that stretched the figure of the models. The color palette ranged from mustard to the nude.
I found it a very good concept, the play of light on the catwalk, ethnic music and smoke created a different and sensational atmosphere.
The last fashion show of the day was the one from the Colombian brand Agua Bendita swimwear.
This show broke with the seriousness and typical path of the models.
At the rhythm of the Rihanna's song "Where have you been" mixed with Gregori Klosman's remix of the song "Americano" by Lady Gaga, started the first group of 5 models marching in bikini, hat and military jacket.
After these group tour, the models danced and spun at the runway making a fun and dynamic show, really loved it!

My first show of the week was Malafacha by Francisco Saldaña and VÃctor Herna. They presented low cut slacks, long skirts and shirts with asymmetric fallen shoulders, into a palette consisting of gray, pink, blue and black&white printing.
What I liked the most, was a black&white dress combined with a very cools pair of Adidas sneackers.
Afterwards came the amazing show by designer Alexia Ulibarri, one of my favourites, of which I shall speak more in detail in the next post.
