Alexia Ulibarri's New Showroom
Alexia Ulibarri is one of my favorite designers.
In my opinion she is an example of true Mexican talent, who always leaves us open-mouthed with her wonderful collections.
Besides I have a special admiration and respect for her for being the first major designer who gave me the opportunity to interview her, she was extremly nice and friendly. (You can read the interview HERE)
Her latest collection was "Daphne's Tale" Fall / Winter 2013, presented at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
I do not know if you remember that I said it was a collection inspired by a magic owl woman who lives in a world between reality and fantasy.
Hoodies gave an air of mystery that perfectly represents the delicate strength from Alexia's winter darkness.
In the details we could see vintage prints, leather representing strength, delicate chifon and pearls, emblematic of Alexia, that are like romantic tears of femininity contrasting with the dark.
With Daphne's Tale, Alexia decided to get closer to the public and open a showroom in the incredible Common People boutique located on Emilio Castelar #149, Polanco.
The opening party powered by John Frieda, took place 2 weeks ago and was a funn gathering with cool music, nice people and many pieces from Alexia's collections.
You should really go and visit for unique and wonderful clothes!
Thanks to Alexia for inviting me to this lovely event, I really apreciate it!
